MARKHAM – Earlier this month, Markham’s own Mandarin Golf and Country Club played host to more than 100 golfers who all came out to help LiVante Developments support a great cause.
The company’s first annual Charity Golf Tournament, held on September 5, was made possible through generous contributions from dozens of corporate sponsors and donors, including many of our friends in the construction and development industry.
All of the proceeds from our first tournament – $25,000 in total! – were donated to Adventure Place, a North York educational facility that delivers specialized services and programs for the families of children affected by developmental difficulties, including autism spectrum disorders.
“We believe that as corporate citizens we have an obligation to give back to the communities in which we build, by developing strong partnerships with local organizations,” LiVante Developments’ Ben Wong said of the event. “Adventure Place is one such organization.”
It was a windy day for golf, but the sunny weather and laid-back atmosphere made it a great afternoon out on the links – with the winning team, Home Lumber, managing an incredible score of 59! After the golf was over, tournament participants were treated to a multi-course dinner as well as prize draws, presentations and more.
This memorable event gave the team at LiVante a great opportunity to relax and connect with our industry partners and friends, while building a strong connection with the team at Adventure Place – who will be sharing the neighbourhood with residents of our upcoming North York development at Don Mills Road and McNicoll Avenue.
LiVante Developments and the Living Well editorial team would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who participated in and contributed to this special event. We look forward to seeing you next year!
